What can I say about this amazing place? On our way through Scotland whilst on holiday we visited The Boathouse. I ordered a breakfast and it was out of this world. The staff was amazingly friendly, helpful and chatty. If you are in the area and want something to eat then this is the place to go.

Sat outside on a lovely warm day, protected from the breeze by the excellent glass screen. Chose the second day of the "Nith bore" which passed us as we were eating. Altogether a great lunch with wonderful food and wine. Very well worth a visit and we will be back.

Our favourite place to eat and the best restaurant in Dumfries in my opinion. The food is always scrumptious, from the bread, sauce, dessert to main dish, everything is fresh made and yummy. Great quality and a stunning view. We love it.

Beautiful location and beautiful food! We had a celebratory afternoon tea for 5 and they catered for vegetarian and gluten free with ease.

We stumbled across this place, as we were passing, and thought we'd give it a try as it was lunch time. So glad we did as the menu was different to the usual lunch time fare that is on offer in other places. Coupled with fantastic views and prompt service this was a serendipitous find! Worth going.

A lovely spot on the river Nith, restaurant has all round views. Service is excellent. An interesting menu provides familiar dishes with their own twist, I have never been disappointed and I can be a fussy eater. Booking advised at the moment.

The best food we ate while on holiday...a little gem of a restaurant and will be revisiting with friends.

We had our wedding ceremony and meal here. It was perfect. The team were great and really put me at ease.

My best chai latte in Scotland (so far!)... the perfect blend of spice, creaminess and sweetness. First visited here a couple of years ago so brought friends along for brunch.

Found this little gem of a place when we were on holiday, we loved it so much we returned again the next day. Lovely location, stunning views, beautiful food, friendly and cosy atmosphere and helpful staff. I wish we had some place like this back home!
